“Some stories trigger a physical reaction. A gasp. A wave of goosebumps. A laugh. Those are the moments that inspire me.”
Lisa is a seasoned media professional who has been working in the Phoenix market since 1999. She began in sports radio, transitioned to broadcast writing for local and national markets, and eventually landed a sought-after job as a reporter at Gannett’s Arizona Republic newspaper, where she earned Best Staff Performance in 2005.

She was lauded for her dogged environmental and municipal coverage, but she truly found her stride when she discovered ways to unearth a news story’s human element, illuminating the emotion behind a struggling refugee community, a drug addict’s desperate attempt to get clean, and an upswing in foreign adoptions.

Lisa starts every day with a Mountain Dew, on the rocks. And ends lucky Saturdays on the mic at a karaoke bar.
